We are excited to announce that the Trillium Center has received an award. Here, in the words of Savannah Frye, MA, R-CPRS, Regional Coordinator for Peer Recovery Specialists and Family Support Partners; Northern Virginia Regional Projects Office:
On behalf of Jalna Harris, Region 2 Recovery Oriented Services Coordinator with DBHDS, and myself, Region 2 PRS and FSP Coordinator with the Regional Projects Office, we would both like to congratulate and acknowledge Trillium Center, Inc. and the wonderful peers who work there as the recipients of the regional Year of the Peer (YOTP) “Change Agent – Org” and “Change Agent – Peer” awards. As described in the nomination form, the “Change Agent – Peer” award is given to someone who has demonstrated a fearlessness in challenging belief systems and approaches in combination with tremendous skill in building bridges and finding allies. The “Change Agent – Org” award was created to recognize Trillium Center itself for the programs, innovation, grassroots work, and hope that is done to promote wellness and recovery.
Trillium staff and our amazing Cynthia Dudley, Trillium’s Executive Director, attended the award event Friday. We gathered with many Peer Specialists from our region to celebrate and acknowledge the impact we all are having on our community.
To all our Peers and members, we are honored to serve you individually and our community as a whole. We walk this path with you and we hope we inspire you as much as you inspire us.
